According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Toni Braxton will take on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago next year. No deal for the gig has been finalized at this time, but Toni is supposedly in talks to sign a lucrative deal for the job.

This will be Toni’s third trip to Broadway. In the past she starred as Belle in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast in 1998; she also played the title role in Disney’s Aida.

TheYBF.com reports that The Ambassador Theater, where Chicago will supposedly be playing, is already taking calls from Broadway buffs looking for advance tickets. The venue, however, has not said one way or the other where there is any weight to the rumors.

“Of course, management won’t confirm nor deny, which leads me to believe that it’s true,” a source said. “It’s the talk of the theater.”

We love us some Toni Braxton so we are excited to see her back on stage. To past the time we will just have to watch her on “Braxton Family Values“
