2011 MTV Video Music Award Performances
Last night, the MTV Video Music Awards took place in Los Angeles. That had to be the best VMAs we have watched in years. The performance were on point and so was the fashion. Check out some of our favorite performances below:
Jo Calderone took Lady Gaga’s shine to open the show. The eccentric pop star, dressed as her male alter-ego to perform her latest hit single, You & I.
Jay-Z and Kanye West showed their patriotic stripes with a surprise performance of “Otis” off their chart-topping album Watch the Throne. This performance was so young & playful, it felt like we was back in the 90′s.
Chris Brown pumped up the volume with this high-powered medley of his hits. Our favorite part of his performance was him rocking to the old-school hits. He killed the dance break to Wu-Tang Clan’s “Protect Ya Neck” & Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” You honestly can’t deny that boy’s talent.
Adele turned the lights down and stood in front of the microphone to belted out her singles, “Someone Like You” & “Rolling In The Deep,” from her chart-topping album 21. We have to say this is up there as our favorite of the night. She is just so effortless with her performance.
