Lady Gaga puts Jo Calderone back in the closet on the October cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The eccentric singer is pictured “basically barefaced,” the magazine says.

Known for her outrageous style, Lady Gaga says she doesn’t see it as a “natural” look, since to her “artifice is the new reality” anyway. “It’s more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside,” she explains.

The ”You and I” singer is riding her current wave of success following the release of her third album Born This Way, which sold 1.11 million copies in its first week back in May.
