Straight out of Brooklyn by way of Haitian and Panamanian heritage comes Gabbie Giftsz. Considering the influx of today’s female “rappers” (I use the term loosely) one could compare Gabbie to a number of artists out there but any such comparisons would be null and void in the face of her creativity. Gabbie’s flow oscillates between that of a intellectual seductress and an island gangster as every now and then hints of her West Indian accent come out. Suffice to say, homegirl can spit.

Gabbie’s eclectic style shines through her fashion (from her platinum blond braids to full- length minks and gothic- influenced make- up or just fresh kicks and an 80′s style track suit) and her music. Though the song “Eat This” is definitely banger status and should be every female’s 2012 summer anthem, Gabbie’s versatility shines through as she discusses everything from misogyny to broken hearts to cunnilingus against the backdrop of dope beats across the spectrum of her discography.

Take a listen to her latest track “Eat This” off her upcoming mixtape set to drop next month and make sure to check out her YouTube Channel for her other songs:
