PYNK Mag welcomes back our monthly guest blogger @ikearoxi with her newest installment entitled “Prom.” Everyone knows that #PYNKgirls come in all shapes, sizes, colors and ages so this post is for our younger readers out there, ready to make their entree into the next level of life. Get it, girls! But for now, just make sure your prom is amazing with a few tips and words of advice from “Baltimore’s Best” :
Hey RockIts!
Prom night is quickly approaching. The Cinderella moment is almost here! It’s time to begin preparation for prom. It’s my senior year and my excitement cant be contained.
I’ve been trying on some of the most beautiful gowns just to get a feel for that magical night, though I had considered whether to have my gown made or bought off the shelf. Decisions, decisions… But, the key to all this wonderful madness is to be realistic and only buy what your money can afford.
Here are a few ideas to help make prom- planning a little easier:
Pick out your prom dress and make appointments at least 3 weeks before your prom date (hair, make-up, nails pedicures, hair removal)
Order boutonniere for your date
Plan your night with friends (hotel reservations, after- prom parties/plans etc)
Dinner reservations can be tight so call ahead
Make sure your date has booked the ride
Whiten your teeth for the perfect prom smile (Crest White Strips really work!)
Sign a pledge not to drink alcohol or use drugs, or at the very least be safe and have lots of fun
Take lots of pictures
Oh, and be fab!!!
