Tiara Wiles “RE:Dux”
Tiara Wiles is one of those artists who haters might say is “riding this hip- hop meets electronica” wave that many artists have come to fame atop, but her tracks are so naturally dope that you couldn’t possibly tag her with such cliche BS. Wiles’ voice could be likened to a series of people, as if Katy Perry’s poppy edginess mated with bass and soul. Thinkkkk, Sonique, circa 2012 (remember, the shaved- head black chick who rocked early 2000′s trance with “Take Me Higher”).
You might know Wiles’ already as she has been featured on the Kid Daytona’s “The Minimum” and “Contemplation” and Smoke DZA’s Cuz I Felt Like It.
Wiles’ soulful alto melts perfectly with subterranean synth beats, jazzy piano riffs, and eclectic percussion rhythms finding a perfect medium between electronica and soul. Guarantee: taking a listen will ensure this album’s placement in your music library. For real.
