#PYNKTUNES: Run, Tell That! New @Frank_Ocean

On Tuesday, July 10th, 2012

Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated album – channel Orange – arrived a week early via iTunes at midnight last night. (We’ve got our copy and its currently blaring through the speakers in the office.)

Our favorites include Thinkin’ Bout You, Sierra Leone and Sweet LifeBad Religion – which he performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – sets the tone for the latter half of the album. It was the artist’s revelation of his unrequited romantic experience with another man in Bad Religion that sparked controversy causing the artist to address his sexuality in an open letter last week. The tracks Forrest Gump and Pink Matter are also particularly poignant as the emotion behind the lyrics is undeniable.

If you are still on the fence about the Odd Future crooner, you can stream the album for free on his tumblr page: @frank_ocean
