Fifty Shades Trilogy

Set in Seattle, this novel by E.L. James tells the story of a literature student who enters into a relationship with a incredibly successful and wealthy young entrepreneur. PYNKTIP: You might not want to read this work of fiction in public as the sex scenes are explicitly erotic. A few Pynk contributors have confessed of tackling their boyfriends mid-chapter due to the steamy scenes involving bondage and sadism.

 

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

 

Written by Stephen R. Covey, this self-help book offers insight into solving personal and professional problems. Covey provides a step-by-step holistic and principle-centered approach to adapt to change that will lend toward personal growth and allow us to take advantage of the opportunities that await us.   

 

The Amateur

 Journalist Edward Klein’s The Amateur examines the Obama presidency – from his administration to personal life.

 

Where We Belong

 

Penned by the UK’s own Emily Giffin, Where We Belong, tells the story of two women, the families that influence them and the loyalty that bind them together.

 

The Casual Vacancy

Harry Potter author, J. K. Rowling, penned her first novel for adults with The Casual Vacancy. The book tells the story of Barry Fairweather, a man who dies unexpectedly in his early forties. His small town of Pagford is left in shock. Fairweather’s absence on the town council becomes the catalyst of aggression among its inhabitants. War ensues – and it’s the worst the town has ever seen.
