#RealTalk: Words of Life vs. Words of Death

On Monday, August 13th, 2012

At certain points in life, we come to a revelation about ourselves and the people we have around us. Like most PYNK girls, we are surrounded by girlfriends, family, co-workers, and maybe even a significant other.

But, do all of these people belong in our circle? Do we really an entourage of people around us just to say we have a solid “support system”? The answer: Maybe not.

Look at your relationships with those you feel closest to and think about the conversations you have on a regular basis. When they speak to you, do you hear words of life? Are they encouraging you to be a better woman and to pursue your dreams despite your circumstances? When you think of them, do you absolutely KNOW that this person is 100% in your corner (and not trying to take your spot)?

Or, do certain people make you feel uninspired? Are they slyly putting you down and not interested in your goals and achievements? Do they expect you to listen to their aspirations and support them, but they don’t do the same for you?  Do they even have aspirations at all? In other words, do they speak words of death into your atmosphere?

In order to be your best, you need people who are going to speak prosperity and progress into your world. They need to be motivated as well so you can support each other! Anyone who could care less about your goals and won’t take time to read your blog or listen to your music has no room in your life.

PYNK girls are powerful and need other PYNK girls to support them!

Think about it.

This is so true. Really put somethings that I have been thinking about lately into perspective. Over the years I have found it hard to cut certain ties that I have to people that I have known my whole life but growing apart is a part of life and I should not feel guilty because I have certain uninspired, unproductive or negative people in my life. You go after what you want in life whether that is a career, a guy, a friendship or whatever. I am always developing my standards and the standards I have for those included in my inner circle. It is definitely a must to continue progressing! Thanks
